2011 National Championships

The next New zealand Lacrosse national championships will be held in Hamilton.  Canterbury will be selecting a mens, womens and Junior team for this event.

2009 / 10 Season 

NZ Lacrosse Nationals: 2010 

This three day tournament hosted teams from Auckland, North Harbour, Wellington and Canterbury. Wellington Women and Auckalnd Men took the title of National Champions. This tournament also hosted an Australian Mens club team from Melbourne and the New Zealand Mens national team.

6-aside End of Season Tournament

A fun club season ending tournament with 3 mens teams and 2 womens teams held on March 29th 2010.

2008 / 9 Season

NZ Lacrosse Nationals: Feb 2009

This three day tournament hosted teams from Auckland, North Harbour, Wellingotn and Canterbury. Wellington Women and Canterbury Men took the title of National Champions. Individual game scores will be uploaded in the next week or so.

Kiwi Cup Tournament: Feb 2009 - BLAX v Vic Sapphires

The NZ Women's team (BLAX) took on a strong opposition from Victoria, Melbourne but managed to win the 4 Kiwi Cup games. Scores will follow shortly. A big thank you to the team from Victoria who travelled to NZ for this tournament even though many of their families were involved in the horrific fires through Victoria. Our hearts and best wishes go out to all those who lost family and friends.

2007 / 8 Season

Canterbury Lacrosse Association Open, Christchurch: March 2008

Results:

• Exhibition Match: 5 v 5

  The opening game of the day was a 40 minute match between two equally balanced sides made up of players from the club. Both sides worked well together and the level of lacrosse was extremely high. As one would expect, the scores were level at the final whistle.

• 6-a-side tournament

  The players and newbies were divided into teams of 5 outfield players as Canterbury's two goalies had opted to play each and every game. The teams were made up as follows:

 Overall winners: Braves (26points) Celtics (22points) Dodgers (16points) Astro(13points

National Lacrosse Open, Wellington: January 2008

Ladies

• Auckland 12 v Canterbury 5

  This was a tough game and we were down a key player as G was taking part in the Ocean Swim to raise money for Kids' Cancer. Still, we put up a brave fight and actually won the second half. Unfortunately this isn't reflected in the overall score!

• Wellington 5 v Canterbury 4

  We were unlucky with this one. It was a close game and both teams were looking for victory. Wellington just pipped us to the post. It was an excellent game though.

• North Harbour 8 v Canterbury 7

  This was an exceptional match with NH only securing victory in the last minute with a fluke pass turned goal. Another excellent match with the Canterbury ladies really showing what they are made of.

Mixed

• Canterbury 4 v Auckland 4

  A good game enjoyed by all. Auckland were a little surprised at the quality and ability of Canterbury but still managed to keep us to a draw

• Canterbury 4 v Wellington 2

  Our first victory! It came late in the tournament but it was an excellent game. We had the upper hand in that we train as a mixed squad.
